 What Was the Arena Like?

It's always the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair. Brandon is the most peripatetic team in the CHL, having been kicked out of their home rink for the fair over and over throughout the years, and in 2025, the Wheat Kings decided to play the opening round games against Lethbridge in Virden, Manitoba, about 75 km west of Brandon on the Trans-Canada. The Virden rink holds about 1,200 and is home to an MJHL team, and yes, I've driven through Virden before, but I didn't stop to see the rink. Why would I ever expect that a 1,200 seat community rink would host a WHL team in 2025? Sigh...

 What's It Used for Today?

Tundra Oil & Gas Place remains home to an MJHL team, the Virden Oil Capitals.
